This slim sized ATQ160 power unit has a dirt capacity of 6.25 gallons allowing you to empty the dirt canister less often. The ATQ160 comes standard as a permanent filter bagless unit, but has a special stem inside the vacuum that allows it to use an optional sealed paper bag. Disposable paper bags allow easier maintenance of the collected debris for those that may have severe allergies or asthma in the family. Instead of dumping the dirt container into the trash bin you simply unhook the paper bag and throw it away. You can also use the system bagless, operating with only the permanent filter. The inverted permanent filter maintains itself using a center weighted design that flexes the filter each time the unit is power cycled on and off. The inverted filter used in VALET ATQ models is permanent and never needs replacement. The special Micro-Tex® filter resists bacteria, mold, and mildew growth. This material can also capture particles as small as .3 microns and has a dust retention of 99.96% efficiency.

A unique third method of collection is built in to the Valet central vacuum. VALET bagless units feature the patented Air Channel. The air channel allows a plastic can liner to be used inside the dirt collection bin which makes emptying the bin easier and with less mess. With the Air Channel, you eliminate clouds of dust puff-back when you empty the collection bin. Maintaining your VALET power unit with can liner is clean and easy. Just unlatch the collection bin and gather up the can liner. Take the can liner and throw it away in your garbage. Put another plastic liner in the canister and your ready to vacuum once again. Your first package of can liners are included with your power unit and additional 4 packs are available on the accessories list. VALET can liners are convenient and easy to use but are optional and the VALET power unit can be used without them if necessary.

The VALET ATQ uses an Ametek brand Lamb series motor for exceptional performance and reliability. A sound reduction chamber surrounds the motor and reduces the amount of noise coming from the motor cooling system, making the unit quieter. The ATQ bagless units are also equipped with utility valve mounted to the front of the power unit for cleaning the car, garage or basement and an easy to use and on/off switch on the units control board.
